YORK power Metal stars Warrior Soul are completing work on their
third album, titled "Ghetto Nation", due for release on
September 15 through Geffen. "We're attempting the impossible." vocalist and mainman Kory Clarke told Mayhem last week. "We're attempting to record and mix the whole thing in four weeks, and I think we're gonna do it." "Everyone's under the gun to come up with great performances. It's hard work, but it's not bad work. It's fun." Clarke is producing the album himself, and among the tracks set for inclusion are: Ghetto Nation, Shine Like It, Blown, Welcome To The Party, The Fallen, The Golden Shore, Punk And Belligerent and Trip Rider. |

| "This
album is condemning this country rather than trying to unite people and
create a movement. I'm watching it falling apart and I'm enjoying it.
I'm pointing a finger," continued Clarke.
"There's a lot of biting, sarcastic humour in the songs too. I wanted to do that to answer critics who say we're real serious all the time." Warrior Soul plan a world tour to coincide with the release of the album, which may kick off in the UK, depending on the band's US schedule. The band's current single, "Hero", features a demo version of "Ghetto Nation'. We wanted to get some of the new stuff out there," says Clarke. "We've got a strong base in the UK and I really think people are gonna enjoy this next record." |
